Petree Compatible Litter: Clumping and Screen Fit

Check Petree 2.0 ACC-21-02 clumping requirements, screen passage and MAX fill instructions. Compare the model manual with the generic FAQ before switching.

Choose Petree compatible litter against the model number and its manual. The current Petree 2.0 listing names bentonite, tofu, mixed and other clumping litters. A material name alone does not confirm that a particular formula will clump and separate correctly.

This guide covers the 2.0 listing identified as ACC-21-02. Check the label on your machine before applying these references to another Petree version.

Match the source to your Petree model

The Petree 2.0 product page identifies ACC-21-02 and describes its sieve alongside several clumping litter materials. Its broad wording needs to be read with the model instructions.

Reference What it establishes
Petree 2.0 product listing Names ACC-21-02 and lists bentonite, tofu, mixed and other clumping litters.
Linked ACC-21-02 and ACC-21-03 manual Specifies clumping litter and a MAX fill line. It excludes non clumping or poorly clumping litter, with crystal and wood based litter as examples.
Generic Petree FAQ Recommends standard weight clay clumping litter. Its conditional references to crystals and plant based alternatives are not instructions for every revision.

The manufacturer manual hosted by Amazon names ACC-21-02 and ACC-21-03 in its product parameters. Compare it with the manual supplied with your unit. It is a reference for those model numbers, rather than proof that all Petree generations share identical requirements.

Clumping and screen passage are separate checks

The generic Petree FAQ conditionally permits some silica beads or crystals that pass through the screen. It also says plant based alternatives may form looser clumps and require more frequent drawer care. It excludes absorption only, non clumping or loosely clumping litter, newspaper litter and absorbent wood pellets.

The linked model manual is more restrictive about crystals. Screen passage alone does not remove that restriction. If your supplied manual differs from a general website answer, ask Petree or your Australian seller to confirm the exact formula for your model and revision.

Our automatic litter box granule guide explains the broader screen fit question. Do not borrow another machine’s particle dimensions for a Petree unit.

A fill and clump observation checklist

Follow the model’s fill line

The linked manual says not to exceed MAX. It explains that excess litter can be sifted into the waste container. Its initial fill example is about 4 L, but the marking and instructions for your own unit remain the limit.

Use the supplied setup and refill sequence. A drum capacity in a product specification is not an instruction to add that volume of litter.

Look at what remains after a normal cycle

Check whether urine clumps stay together, clean granules pass through the installed screen and wet fragments remain in the litter bed. Record the formula, model and fill level if you need help interpreting the result. These observations support a specific enquiry; they do not establish compatibility for another formula or machine.

How to assess Terra against those requirements

petabite Terra combines cassava and sodium bentonite and is designed to form compact clumps for automatic litter boxes. Those public characteristics are relevant to the checklist. Compatibility with Petree ACC-21-02 remains unconfirmed here. They do not establish Petree approval or that petabite has tested this combination.

Confirm the formula against your model’s material rules, installed screen and fill instructions before switching. For selection across automatic machines, use the main Terra guide to automatic litter boxes.
