Furbulous Compatible Litter: Clumps and Filter Fit
The Furbulous litter type specified for Furbulous Box is clumping litter. The manufacturer’s instructions call for clumps firm enough for its screen to separate. Check the screen fitted to your unit as well as the litter formula before switching.
This guide covers Furbulous Box, using the manufacturer’s international English references. It does not transfer those instructions to Cube EZ or another model. Match the name and regional instructions supplied with your Australian unit.
Start with the Box instructions
The Furbulous Box FAQ identifies clumping litter as the required type and gives tofu and clay as examples. Its recommendation is about clumping quality as well as the material name.
The Furbulous Box instruction book likewise calls for tightly formed clumps that can be filtered by the screen. The Box product page describes a screen that separates clumps while retaining clean litter for reuse.
Read those points together. Clean granules need a suitable path through the fitted screen, while urine clumps need to stay intact during separation. A material category alone does not answer both questions.
Identify the screen fitted to your machine
Furbulous sells a separate Litter Screen for Furbulous Box. That listing describes a screen designed for clay litter and also specifies other clumping litter with particles smaller than 12 mm.
The 12 mm figure belongs to that listed accessory. It is not a confirmed opening measurement for every Box screen, and it does not establish that your machine has this screen fitted. Confirm the part with Furbulous before applying its guidance to your unit.
| What to identify | What the public source establishes | What still needs checking |
|---|---|---|
| Furbulous Box | Clumping litter and firm, removable clumps | The instructions supplied with your exact unit |
| Screen already fitted | A screen separates clumps from reusable loose litter | Its part identity and permitted granule format |
| Separately listed Litter Screen | Clay litter, plus other clumping litter with particles smaller than 12 mm | Whether this is the part installed in your Box |
For the general relationship between particles and screen openings, read our granule size guide. Use the model instructions to resolve the actual fit.
A short litter selection checklist
- Confirm clumping behaviour. Choose a formula that forms defined urine clumps. Do not substitute a non clumping material just because it absorbs liquid.
- Check clump integrity. Clumps need to remain together through the Box’s separation process. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning delay rather than assuming every formula forms at the same speed.
- Match the fitted screen. Check the material and particle format against that part’s instructions. Do not use another machine’s pellet limit.
- Follow the fill mark. The instruction book uses the MAX line and calls for resetting the litter reading after adding fresh litter. Use the procedure supplied with your unit.
The bag cartridge is a separate requirement
The Furbulous Trash Bag Box is an accessory for collecting and packing waste. The FAQ specifies the manufacturer’s bag box for automatic packing and sealing. That requirement does not mean the litter itself must be a proprietary refill.
Check litter, screen and waste collection supplies separately. A bag cartridge cannot make unsuitable litter pass through a screen or form a removable clump.
Where Terra fits
Terra is a cassava and sodium bentonite clumping formula. Its public ingredient information describes bentonite as adding weight and mineral strength to help clumps hold together through a cleaning cycle.
Those are relevant design features to compare with the Box’s requirements. They do not establish Furbulous approval or tested Terra compatibility. Furbulous is not on the public Terra tested model list reviewed for this guide.
If you are considering Terra, give Furbulous the exact Box model, fitted screen and current formula information before changing litter. For the broader selection checks, use our automatic litter box selection guide.
