Our Performance Formula

The first cat litter designed for automatic litter boxes.

Terra began with the machine. We tested every major automatic litter box on the market to determine the granule weight, size and clump strength needed for rakes, sensors and sieves. The result is a litter designed around the full automatic cycle, not simply made compatible with it.

Designed around Cycle Rakes, sensors and sieves
01#NO DUST

Fine particles bind to each granule, helping keep dust out of the air while the machine rotates.

02#NO STICK

Cassava draws moisture in fast and releases cleanly, helping reduce sticking to the walls and base of the machine.

03#NO ODOUR

Automatic litter boxes store waste between empties. Baking soda and an enzyme attack odour at the source, keeping the drawer fresh.

A ginger cat sits in a white automatic litter box beside a 2.5kg box of Terra. Australia's first cat litter designed for automatic litter boxes, lasting three times longer. Terra granules arranged as a hash symbol. Terra extends the replacement cycle to up to three months, with compact clumps and 2 to 3mm granules sized for automatic litter box filters. Water poured into a test tube of Terra. It absorbs in one second and clumps in three, a fast absorption, low tracking formula that reduces litter waste by up to 30 per cent. Clump size comparison between Terra and another cat litter. Tested with 50mL of water, Terra forms clumps up to 40 per cent smaller than conventional cat litter. Terra's cassava and mineral blend: 50 per cent bentonite micro granules for encapsulation and odour locking, and 50 per cent cassava for fast absorption, quick clumping and low sticking. Terra poured from the box into a tray with almost no visible cloud, at an airborne dust rate below 0.09 per cent against 0.50 to 1.20 per cent for other cat litter. Product details

Terra - Blended Cat Litter

Engineered first for the demands of automatic litter boxes, Terra balances granule size, weight and clump strength for reliable cycling. Those same qualities bring fast, clean performance to a conventional manual tray.

Cassava absorbs quickly. Bentonite adds weight and strength. Together they form compact clumps that sift cleanly in a machine and lift cleanly with a scoop.

CASSAVA SPEED. BENTONITE STRENGTH.

Terra combines cassava and bentonite in a composition tested for absorption, clump strength, clean release and reliable sifting.

Cassava draws moisture in quickly. Bentonite adds the weight and mineral structure that helps each clump hold together through an automatic cycle or lift cleanly from a manual tray.

SIZED FOR THE RAKE AND THE SENSOR

Terra granules measure 2 to 3 mm. They are large enough for a rake to sift cleanly, keeping clean litter in the tray rather than carrying it into the waste drawer. They are small enough for the sensors in an automatic cat litter box to read the tray accurately.

The texture is close to sand, so most cats accept Terra without a difficult transition. Each granule is also weighted to stay where it is poured, rather than travelling through the home on a paw.

ABSORBS IN ONE SECOND, CLUMPS IN THREE

Terra is a fast clumping cat litter. Liquid is absorbed within one second, and the clump sets within three.

Measured with 50 mL of water, Terra forms a clump up to 40% smaller than conventional cat litter. Cassava also resists sticking to the base and walls of the tray, so less residue builds between deep cleans.

ONE TRAY, UP TO THREE MONTHS

Smaller clumps carry less clean litter into the waste drawer. Across a full cycle, this means up to 30% less litter used and a waste drawer that fills more slowly.

Conventional cat litter is usually replaced in full once a month. With regular top ups, Terra can remain in the tray for up to a year before a full change.

LOW DUST CAT LITTER

Every Terra granule is sized, shaped and tested for flow. BASF dust binding technology holds fine particles to the granule surface, keeping them out of the air.

Under matched pouring conditions, Terra has an airborne dust rate below 0.09%, compared with 0.50% to 1.20% for common cat litters. The air stays clear when the box opens, when the litter is poured, and while the machine cycles through the day.

ODOUR, MET AT THE SOURCE

Baking soda absorbs odour while an enzyme breaks down ammonia and the organic compounds behind it. Smells are addressed at the source, rather than covered with artificial perfume.
