1. How Subscriptions Work

Petabite offers both one-time purchases and recurring subscriptions. When you choose a subscription, you select the product, quantity, and a delivery frequency of every 4, 6, or 8 weeks.

At checkout, you provide a payment method and authorise Petabite and its payment providers (Stripe or PayPal) to charge that method automatically for each renewal until you modify or cancel your subscription.

Subscriptions are managed through our subscription partner, Recharge. After subscribing, you can manage your subscription at any time through the subscription portal link provided in your confirmation email, renewal reminder emails, or your customer account.

 

2. No Lock-In and No Cancellation Fee

There is no fixed contract period and no cancellation fee. You are free to change, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, at no cost.

 

3. Renewal Reminders

We will send you an email reminder at least 3 days before each upcoming renewal charge. This reminder will include:

•  the product and quantity in your upcoming order;
•  the amount that will be charged;
•  the date the charge will be processed; and
•  a direct link to your subscription portal where you can skip, pause, modify, or cancel before the charge occurs.

You will also receive standard order confirmation and shipping notification emails once each renewal order has been processed and dispatched.

 

4. Managing Your Subscription

Through your subscription portal, you can:

•  Change delivery frequency — switch between 4, 6, and 8-week cycles. Your next charge date will update automatically.
•  Adjust quantity — increase or decrease the number of cartons in each delivery.
•  Swap products — switch between Snow and Terra (where eligible under the same subscription rule).
•  Update your address — changes apply to future deliveries.
•  Update your payment method — update your card or payment details at any time.
•  Skip a delivery — skip the next upcoming order without cancelling.
•  Pause your subscription — temporarily suspend deliveries and resume when ready.
•  Cancel your subscription — stop all future deliveries immediately.

5. Timing of Changes

To avoid being charged for an upcoming order, you must make changes before the renewal date shown in your subscription portal and reminder emails. If a renewal has already been processed and an order created, we may not be able to modify or cancel that particular shipment. However, all future renewals can still be updated or cancelled.

 

6. Failed Payments

If a payment fails (for example, because a card has expired or has insufficient funds), our system may:

•  attempt the payment again after a short period; and
•  send you an email asking you to update your payment method.

If payment is not successfully processed after repeated attempts, your subscription may be automatically paused or cancelled. You can reactivate it at any time by updating your payment details and contacting us or using the subscription portal.

 

7. Pricing Changes

We may update subscription pricing, discounts, or available options from time to time. If we change the price of your subscription, we will notify you by email before the new price takes effect. The updated price will apply to your next renewal after the notification. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the next renewal at no cost.

 

8. Refunds on Subscription Orders

Each subscription delivery is covered by the same consumer rights and refund provisions as a one-time purchase. If a subscription shipment arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please refer to our Refund Policy. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these subscription terms.
